Our journey began on Gulangyu Island, where we strolled along quiet, car-free paths beneath banyan trees and listened to live piano melodies echoing through the air. The peaceful atmosphere offered a perfect reset before the festive season. The adventure continued with an exhilarating sail across Xiamen Bay—wind in our hair, laughter on deck, and the coastline stretching endlessly ahead. On land, we explored the lush trails of Xiamen’s Giant Botanical Garden, walked the elevated Mountain-Sea Health Trail with panoramic views of ocean and hills, and joyfully embraced local culture by trying the traditional “Zanhua” flower crown custom—a vibrant celebration of Minnan heritage that left us smiling and snapping photos.
Back together around Fujian-style dinners and seaside evenings, we shared stories, played games, and simply enjoyed each other’s company—free from work pressures, yet more connected than ever. These five days weren’t just a getaway; they were a reminder of the trust, warmth, and teamwork that define us.
